Ok, Kids, Can You Say “Hypocrisy”?

null

I’ve just been watching Fox News, something I do occasionally, (when I’ve been a particularly bad girl and feel I need the punishment) and it was really a grueling session this time. The “reporters” spent practically the whole time I was watching talking about - and puking up excuses for - Mark Foley’s “mistake”. Actually, one of the women did seem to be pretty disgusted with the guy, especially since he’s been a regular on their news shows and promoted a “Sexual Preditor” Bill at one point, but the others couldn’t seem to find enough excuses for the guy. It was truly sickening, and had I eaten before watching, I think I might have hurled.

One broad even went all the way back to the 1980’s in an attempt to link a Democrat to a sex scandal with a page. I couldn’t help thinking what a different style of reporting we would have gotten had it been, say, Barney Frank who’d been sending sexually explicit e-mails to young male pages. The man would have been pilloried by every reporter on there, and every guest they brought on to talk about it. Mr. Foley didn’t have even one guest talking about the crime he committed, let alone castigating him and calling for his head, as would be the case if it had been Mr. Frank.

I really don’t get it. I don’t care which political party a pervert is from, especially when that perversion is directed toward kids, and I just can’t understand why it should make a difference to these people, but it clearly does. That’s as sick as the Congressman’s acts are, if you ask me. The man’s a pervert, plain and simple, and molly coddling the truth is just plain wrong. I mean, they actually feel sorry that the guy got caught! I wonder what they’d have said had it been their son he’d been sending those e-mails to?

In the same program they were talking about a show they will have on soon about Donald Rumsfeld, defending him against the “attacks” on his character brought on by his fumbling of the Iraq war. Now, that’s fine, but there was one part that also had me shaking my head in disbelief. How many of you think, had they interviewed, say, Hillary Clinton and asked about her religious beliefs, that they would have defended her for saying she doesn’t want to talk about that? Well, that’s exactly what they did with Rummy.

It seems the guy got upset that they asked him about that, and while he answered the question to some degree, he later told them he wanted no more questions about what he believes in that area. And these “reporters” were quick to say that some people don’t like to talk about their religious beliefs, that some people are just that private, that it’s the right of public figures to keep that part of their lives private…..SINCE WHEN???

Had this been Hillary, or Bill, or Al Gore, or Howard Dean….any Democrat, they would be all over their reluctance to talk as proof they were Commie-loving atheists, and America needs to be wary of them, and you all know that. The hypocrisy of these people is so glaringly blatant as to be beyond belief, isnt’ it?

Anyway, I just wanted to vent for a while, to relieve the pressure that made me feel as if I would actually hurl. I wish I’d taped it so I could send it to every news agency around so they could show it to the world and expose them for the Conservative-butt-kissing fools they are. And anyone who ever talks to me about how biased “the mainstream media” is would get their own copy to peruse, because we all know that when we talk about such things, we are always lying. I bet if we did have tapes of the things they’ve lied and been two-faced about, tho, we’d just be told we’d somehow doctored it to make it look that way. You just can’t win with these people, because hypocrisy is a way of life for them that is as normal as eating, sleeping, and even breathing.

Chris Wallace Got Bitchslapped!

So, did you see the interview of President Clinton by Chris Wallace on Fox News yesterday? I missed it, to tell the truth, but did catch wind of it on other news stations. I wanted to jump up and cheer at the news. For once a Democrat called one of the Fox News self-important, self-righteous, gotcha-getting mouthpieces to task for trying to spin things to the way they want them to be, not the way they actually are. I say “Hurrah, Mr. President! Keep up the good work!”, and wish the rest of the Democrats would follow his lead.

For too many years the Democrats have stood back and, not wanting to “lend creedence” to the spurious charges made against them, said nothing to counter the lies these fools continually throw out at them and others. Meanwhile, the Republicans have managed to define what Democrats “are”, and the week protestations from the Left have fallen on deaf ears. Not this time, tho.

Wallace smugly asked Mr. Clinton why he didn’t do more to get rid of Bin Laden while he was President, a total bastardization of the facts of the matter, and thought he would get another week-sister response, something like “Well, I did the best I could, and I realize it wasn’t good enough”, or something in that vein. Man, was he shocked when Clinton ripped him a new a-hole, right there on TV, and set the record straight in no uncertain terms. It was magnificent, and long overdue.

Bill Clinton did everything possible to get Bin Laden after the first WTC attack in 1993. Everything. He even gave orders to capture or kill the bastard, and he didn’t care which. But guess what? Everytime they found him and tried to get him, the Republicans started kicking up a fuss, trying everything they could to stop him, and calling it a Wag The Dog scheme to get attention off the Presidential Penis and it’s Dishonorable Discharge. The man could do nothing to please these bastards, or more correctly, they wouldn’t allow him to do anything to show he was on the right track. Their caterwalling is the reason more wasn’t done, and had they backed him as they all want us to back Bush, 9/11 may never have happened.

Yes, I said it, and I meant it. The Republican’s attempts to paint ex-President Bill Clinton as somehow unfit to serve in the office we elected him to twice are what allowed Bin Laden to escape paying for his first attack on our shores, and allowed him to plot, plan, and carry out the second, with all that has gone with it. And George W. Bush’s irresponsible shifting of focus from catching the bastard to invading Iraq is allowing them to grow and thrive, and - mark my words, now - plot and plan their next attack here.

I know the Republican’s favorite chant at this point is “Hey, we’re safer now, thanks to George W. Bush. We haven’t had another attack on our soil since 9/11, have we?”, but that is the stupidest thing they’ve ever said, or close to it. How many years has it been since that attack? 5? And how many years went by between the first and second attacks on the WTC? 9 years. 9. Now, when we get to 12 years, or 15, and there have been no more attacks, then they can brag about it. But there are still 4 years left to meet the time table set for the last two attacks, so we’re not out of the woods by any means here.

Again I say, hooray for Bill Clinton for finally taking one of these idiots on and slam dunking him like Michael Jordan with a basketball. Keep it up, go for it, and all you other Democrats take notice, and respond in kind when it’s needed. That’s when the American people will stop seeing us as some kind of wimps who won’t even stick up for ourselves, let alone our country. That’s when we’ll get back at least some of the respect we’ve lost the last few years. And that’s when we’ll finally be able to convince enough people that yes, we can handle any kind of crap that’s thrown at us, and we’ll get the White House and the Congress back.

Rush, Please Buy A Clue…..

I’ve heard it all now. It seems that Rush Dimbulb, in his usual braindead way, has blamed Hugo Chavez’ attack on Bush at the UN the other day on the American Media, since they’re always doing the same thing. Now, never mind that I’ve never heard or read any media person call Bush that, but I have another theory, and it makes a heck of a lot more sense to me.

Did Rush forget that Chavez had spent the three or four days before coming to the UN down in Cuba and the meeting of all the countries in the world that hate us? Ok, maybe not all of them, but a good many of them were there, and they were all taking direct potshots at Bush the whole time. Now, doesn’t it make more sense to assume that, having arrived fresh from that marathon Bush Bash Fest before making his speech, he was more than a little worked up from that and just carried on with the theme here?

Why do you think coaches have rousing pep talks with their players before each game, and during half-time, if there is one? To get the team worked up to a fever pitch, ready to go out and stomp the other team into the ground and win that game, right? Well, it seems to me that the Anti Bush meeting in Cuba did just that to Chavez. He was all worked up from all he’d heard and said down there, and when he got to the UN he just continued in the same way, probably repeating things he’d heard down there.

So, Rush, if you’re so damned smart, why didn’t you realize this? Or maybe you did, but just wanted to continue your incessant media-bashing, adding a heaping helping of Liberals in to spice it up a little more. I’m not sure which I believe more, and frankly, either supposition will do. The main thing is, he diverted everyone from the real truth by pointing in the wrong direction with his rantings, and it was just another example of just how stupid and close-minded he is. So, do you think he takes lessons from Pat Robertson, or vice versa?

NO, I’M NOT IN AA, JUST NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET

I know why I’m finding it so hard to find things to write about lately…it’s because there are so many things going wrong that I can’t make up my mind. It’s like going to the store to buy a new dress for a party, and there are so many in your size and color that you just can’t decide which one you want to wear. I tell you, I’m so befuddled it’s hard to think at all these days.

The war in Iraq, for instance. Yes, it’s still going on, and we’re losing more and more of our young people every day. It’s going downhill at breakneck speed, yet the Idiot in Chief keeps telling us things are looking up over there. The worst part, tho? There are people out here who actually believe him! Just how mind-boggling is that?

It’s not getting better, Iraq is not better off today than it was under Saddam by any measure, and all you have to do to know that is to pay attention to the news, yet people just don’t get it. In the last two weeks, Bush’s poll ratings have risen five percentage points, and I’m still at a loss to figure out why. What am I missing? He’s screwing things up more and more all the time, and everyone knows that, yet he gets higher poll numbers? What, do these people like stupidity?

Even Afghanistan is slipping backwards, thanks in large part to the fact we pulled most of our soldiers out of there to go fight in Iraq, and Osama Bin Laden is so far underground now that no one even knows if he’s still there. Hell, he could be over here in New York, admiring his handy work for all we know. Honestly, why aren’t the American people holding that stupid little runt’s feet to the fire over his inept bumbling of bringing those to blame for the worst attack on our country ever to justice?

Now he wants to give himself the power to use any methods he wants to in questioning those Al Quaeda members we do manage to get our hands on. And by the way, while I’m on the subject, has anyone but me noticed WE’RE NOT THE ONES CAPTURING THESE GUYS? No, it’s the Brits, the Pakistanis, anyone but us. Why? Why are we not out there hunting these guys down? Again, I just don’t get it.

Why does he want us to be no better than those we’re fighting to overthrow? Why do they continue to tell us Saddam was an inhumane devil who refused to follow the Geneva Convention rules, etc, and yet here Bush is wanting to cover himself in the cloak of the law while doing the same things? Thank God the Senate stood up to him and blocked passage of the bill he wanted passed. Thank God for Colin Powell, John McCain, and now George Schultz (Reagan’s Sec. of State), all of whom have said Bush is making us seem no better than those we’re supposed to be fighting against with all this. And yet his polls are up…..

Do you see what I mean? Oh, there’s so much more I could rant about, but I simply don’t have time to do so. And it doesn’t seem to make any difference, since people seem to be falling under his spell yet again. What is it with this fool that makes people so willing to drink his Kool-Aid, over and over again? “He tells the truth”, they say.

Yeah, well, what about the WMD’s that never existed, and he was told that before he began swearing Saddam had them? What about the Al Quaeda ties to Iraq and Saddam that never existed, and he was also told that before he used that claim to get us into the Iraq war, too? The Yellow Cake Uranium? The pipes that “could only be used for enriching uranium”, when in truth they were absolutely unsuited for that? The moving chemical warfare labs?

All lies told by Bush, knowing they were lies at the time, and yet they think he is so truthful? I tell you, I believe whatever’s in the Kool-Aid this fool’s serving is stripping these people of valuable brain power, and it’s showing more and more each day. We have followed out Idiot in Chief like the children followed the Pied Piper, and we are paying for our stupidity more and more as we go, yet too many people still believe that if they just follow him long enough he’ll lead them to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Come on, people, get real. We are being led to our demise, like lambs to the slaughter, and we’re doing it with stupid smiles on our faces, laughing all the way. Any wonder I need the Serenity Prayer?
