WAKE UP, DEMOCRATS!!!!

HEY!! While you guys have been sleepwalking, voting for Obama in droves because….well, mostly because “everyone else is doing it”, the Republicans have been herding you along like sheep. What’s the matter with you all?

Come on, do you really believe Republicans are voting for the #1 Liberal voter in the Senate because they like his views? Puh-leeeeze! First, he has no views with substance, only vague feel-good rhetoric mostly stolen from others. Second, since when do Republicans back anything Liberal? That’s like Jerry willingly walking into Tom’s open mouth, for goodness sake. It simply ain’t gonna happen in real life. So what’s really going on, you ask?

Simple. As I’ve stated before, Republicans are scared spitless of facing Hillary in the national election, because there’s nothing they can throw at her that she hasn’t already fought off more than once. She’s Teflon, baby, and they know that. They know they can’t get John “What, me hang with Lobbyists?” McCain elected if he goes against Hill, no matter what the inflated polls say now, so they have to get her out of the way. And the way to do that? GO OUT AND VOTE FOR OBAMA IN DROVES!!!!!

Yes, boys and girls, you are being played big time by the very people you claim to dislike so much. They are playing you like a cheap fiddle, fools. And that’s not the worst part, because we expect dirty tricks from them. I wouldn’t be surprised, actually, if this isn’t straight from Rove’s pointy little head, it sure sounds like something he’d come up with, but that doesn’t make it any easier to swallow. No, the fact that we are being led around by the nose yet again is what bugs the heck out of me. Just how stupid are we?

I know I don’t have the largest readership in the world, but I’m hoping whoever comes in here and reads this will copy it, paste it in their own blog or on whatever message boards you go to, so more Democrats will be made aware of what’s going on here and stop them dead in their tracks. Come on, how long are we going to let these guys trick us into doing exactly what will turn out to be the worst thing for us? Let’s stop it now, while we still can. Because if we continue to let this happen, and if Obama gets the treatment we know is waiting for him should he be the nominee, we will end up with President John McCain on November 20, 2009, and there won’t be one darn thing we can do about it.

Make no mistake, the Republicans have a lot of dirt on Obama. You can tell by the way they talk about the upcoming elections, the grins that cross their faces as they speak about it, and in some cases, the drool that escapes their lips before being furtively wiped away. Whatever it is, it’s something he’s not going to be able fight, and we will be “swiftboated” yet again. We already know his minister’s close association with Louis Farakhan, Obama’s lack of respect for the national anthem by keeping his hands clutched in front of him while everyone else has their hand over their heart, and his association with slimeballs will be used against him ad nauseum, but there is something else, something big that we haven’t heard about yet because they’re saving it for the main event. Anyone who thinks otherwise will be rudely awakened once the nominees are set, if Obama is the winner.

Spread the news now, when it counts and can make a difference. Mark my words, unless Hillary is our nominee, we will lose again, and there will be at least four more years of Republican rule in the White House, with the 100 year war locked into place and more economic quagmire for us to be sucked down into. The future is clear with a John McCain win, and the win is all but set in stone with Obama as the Democratic nominee. All these “Obamicans” he brags so much about now will scurry back to their own party as soon as he’s nominated, laughing all the way, and he will fall from the pedestal he’s been set upon as surely as the sun came up in the East this morning and will set in the West tonight. Get the alarm going, make it loud and strong, and stop this travesty before it gets started. Please, fellow Democrats, take this to heart. It’s too important not to.

Really, Michelle?

Ok, maybe this is nitpicky, but come on, when Bill Clinton says something people construe as the least bit off, he gets raked over the coals and Hillary suffers for it. Turn about’s fair play, right? So here goes my take on Mrs. Obama’s Faux Pas.

“This is the first time in my adult life that I’ve really been proud of my country…” Really, Michelle? Not when we all pulled together to help those adversely affected by 9/11, or Hurricane Katrina? How about when we all join hands or take a walk to help fight AIDS and breast cancer? Nothing, huh? What do you feel when you hear the National Anthem, or see our flag flying at the head of a parade? That doesn’t stir up feelings of pride for you? Only the fact that people are voting for your husband, giving him a good chance to make it to the White House does it for you, huh? Whatever.

I hate to seem so petty, but it’s really not a petty thing to me. I love my country, and I am so proud to be an American I can’t even find the words to express it. Sure, the last seven years have given me a whole lot of “Eeeerrgggh!” moments, when I simply couldn’t believe we were doing whatever stupid, arrogant, and yes, even evil thing we were doing at Bush’s behest, but all the while my love of my country stood firm, and my pride in being a citizen of the most wonderful country in the world did, too. I would hate to think the only way I could feel that pride is if I felt I was probably going to be living in the White House soon, thanks to my husband’s way with words. It boggles my mind.

I’ve heard some talking heads trying to explain it away, but there really is no way to do that. She plainly said this is the only time she’s REALLY felt proud to be an American. Maybe it’s a matter of not understanding what the word means, I don’t know, but let’s look into it, just for the heck of it, shall we?

“I love broccoli, but I really love chocolate sundaes.” Can you see the difference here? Really is an adverb, if my grade school English isn’t failing me. It modifies the verb “love”, making it even more powerful than it usually is. “I really love him.” “Is she really that smart?” “What do you really think.” See? It adds to whatever you’re trying to express, making it more important, more powerful, or more enjoyable than it normally would be. So when Michelle Obama says she REALLY feels pride in America for the first time, she is telling us it’s more than she’s ever felt before. And I simply can’t get over the fact that it’s her husband’s success at bringing in the votes that’s doing that for her. It seems to me to be a very shallow idea, or a very racist one.

Yes, I said it, racist. To me, what she’s saying is she is so much more proud of America because even whites are voting for her black husband. Honestly, what else can she be saying? And that being the case, why aren’t the pundits yelling about HER racist comment like they did about Bill and Hillary when they said things that were no worse than what she’s saying? It seems to me it’s just another example of how they are pushing the Obama candidacy and doing everything they can to derail Hillary. Does anyone else agree with me? Am I taking this far too seriously? Am I making more of it than I should be? I don’t think so, but if you have a good argument as to why it’s so, let me know.

Can’t We All Just Measure Their Worth On The Merits?

I guess that sounds naive in this day and age, but it just bugs me that the only way some people can think of to express their feelings about one candidate or the other is to slime them. Hillary’s had more of that than anyone in this race, of course, but the others haven’t been immune to it, either. Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer comparing the candidate’s stances on the issues I care about than on what kind of supposed smut can be dug up about them.

Take Obama, for instance. I just saw an ad on my Google AdSense box, something about “The Real Obama Uncovered”, and it really bugs me. Number one, it’s on MY page, but number two, it simply reeks of the same bilge and cow dung that permeated the “Real Truth About Bill Clinton” tape that Jerry Falwell was spreading around in 1996. It’s probably still making the rounds, too, which is mind-blowing in itself. However, we’re talking about Obama now, so we’ll just move on from that one.

Any one who’s read this website the last couple of months knows I am not an Obama fan. Not that I don’t like the guy, really, I just don’t think he is ready for the Oval Office and I really don’t like his attitude, etc. Be that as it may, I don’t think he’s a bad guy, and if it comes down to it in November, I would be voting for him over John McCain without a second thought. No, I’m not a fan, but I certainly don’t think he deserves what some are doing to him, either.

There’s the whole Muslim thing, for one. I have to admit, I had a slight twinge the other day when I heard his minister was very good friends with the head of the Black Muslims, Louis Farakhan, but that’s a long way from swearing Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. He is a Baptist, at least as far as I know, and it’s wrong to try to scare people into not voting for him by painting him as something he’s not. I have nothing against Muslims, either, as I realize they are simply worshipping their God as they believe they are supposed to. Yes, some are weirdos, ie: Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban, but for the most part, they are decent people who don’t believe killing Christians is a command from God.

There are those, however, who feel scaring the American people into doing what they want is the way to get their way in all things, and it just makes me sick. They conjure up boogeymen made of 9/11, Taliban, Bin Laden, Al Quaeda, bombs, attacks, terrorists waiting to get us…..anything that will make people afraid and keep them that way. It’s the Red Scare all over again. I keep waiting for the next Joe McCarthy to step up and start screaming “terrorist!” at everyone who seems different somehow…..oh wait…..we already have Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld, don’t we? Never mind…..

The point of all this is, if we are ever to become a nation of thinkers, the people who can get a hold on our problems and figure a way out of them, we have to stop jumping at every shadow they cast for us. Grow up, get a grip, and ignore their idotic rantings. We have to start looking at what each candidate thinks about the problems that need fixing, what their ideas are for fixing them, and how closely that matches our own thoughts and feelings on the subject. We have to stop letting these peabrained hate mongers turn us here and there, looking for spooks under the bed or in the closet, and turn the light of truth on so they can be seen for what they are. We need to vote with our head, not our yellow backbone. And we need to grow into the nation we were destined to become, the one our forefathers dreamed we’d become, the one so many have given their lives to insure we become. If we don’t, we won’t last a whole lot longer. Fear does nothing but eat away at our common sense and send us in directions that cause more pain and disruption. It’s time we grow a pair and act like adults. Way past time.

Wanna Know How To Tell The Republicans Are Scared Spitless Of Hillary Getting The Nomination?

It’s very simple: listen to their glee at every uptick of Obama’s ratings. Seriously, every Republican talking head you hear, every person flapping their gums on Faux News Network literally glow whenever they get to say that Obama is gaining on Clinton and will probably win this or that state. They are almost peeing themselves with glee, I tell you. Now, why do you think that is? They know they can walk all over him on their way to the White House, that’s why. They are not the least bit afraid of having him as the Democratic candidate.

Now, I don’t know why that is, unless they realize he will be such an easy target for their mudslinging, while Hillary has shown time and again they simply can’t beat her down, no matter what they throw at her. She is not afraid to fight back and won’t let them say whatever they want with no reply. And she certainly won’t turn into a whining mass of “They’re so racist” everytime someone says something mean about her. They are scared spitless of facing her because they know she can and will kick their lying backsides out of the White House and won’t break a sweat doing so.

Honestly, I can’t see the reason why we Democrats are still so easily falling into the traps the Republicans set for us. You’d think we’d have learned by now, but apparently not. Obama’s so cute, and he’s black, and he “speaks so well”, etc - that’s the reasons so many are giving for supporting him, along with “We’re ready for change”. Well, as Hillary pointed out the other night, no matter which of them gets into the Oval office, it will be the first real change since this country began. Do people really think she will carry on with Bush’s ignorant, self-centered, and just plain wrong programs and decisions? Puh-leeeze! She wants to get us back on the right track, change what we’ve had for the last seven years, and what’s more, she has the experience and know-how to do just that. What’s the problem with that? Just what kind of change are they looking for if not that? I just don’t get it.

Anyway, pay attention to those who are going orgasmic every time they can report Obama moving closer to Hillary and see if you aren’t convinced I’m telling the truth. I fear we’re heading into another defeat and at least four more years of the same old stuff Bush has been giving us if we don’t wake up and smell the coffee. God help us if that happens.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!

Wow, what on earth happened yesterday? To hear the news people and the pundits tell it, Hillary was all but dead in the water, while Obama was walking on it, and it was all over but the shouting. Low and behold, once the smoke cleared, Hillary won New Hampshire, and everyone was stunned. Will wonders never cease?

Now, I don’t know what happened, either. All I know is, all the polls showed Obama leading Hillary by double digits going into yesterdays New Hampshire primary, but it was evident once the results started coming in that they had all been wrong. Now, that’s not a new thing, remember 2000 and Presidential election that gave Florida and the Presidency to Gore, only to yank it away later and give it all to Bush? Polls aren’t sacrosanct by any means, but there are usually one or two that go against the majority and get it right, or nearly so. This time, everyone missed it, even Clinton’s own pollsters.

I heard Dan Abrams talking today, and he said the most intelligent thing I’ve heard in all of the hoopla since it became clear what a mistake had been made: don’t pay attention to the news, the pundits, or the polls, because no one knows what will really happen until it happens. Smart guy, that Abrams fella. I know I’m not going to pay attention to any of that any more. They’re not going to fool me again!

I have to admit, I watched Hillary’s votes add up and thought it was nice to see, but it surely wouldn’t last. My grandson came through, saw the tally, and said “Hillary’s winning!”, to which I replied “Yes, for a minute.” I was sure the percentages would change at any minute, putting Obama firmly in the lead, and only hoped she’d hold on to second this time. As the evening went on and her lead continued, staying anywhere from 36% to 40% until it settled at 39% and stayed there, I became more and more incredulous. I simply couldn’t believe it would last, because everyone had her down and out all week. It did last, tho, and she hung on to win. Well, good for her!

Obama wasn’t very happy, although he did give a great speech. I was struck by the fact it didn’t seem much like a concession speech, and thought that was a bit high-handed of him, but considering his haughty remark about her likability in the debate the other night it wasn’t that surprising. I want to like the man, I really do, because I think he will make a good President a few years down the road, but he’s making it hard for me to do that. His attitude bugs me, his seeming sense of entitlement, that the job is his because he says it is, etc. Hopefully this will straighten that out, give him some humility, and I can go back to being impressed by his oratory skills once again.

Another thing I don’t like is how he and Edwards can unload on Hillary, getting as mean-spirited as they like, and it’s fine. However, when she stands up and fights back, everything thinks she’s horrible to picking on Obama. Of course, no one complains about Edwards being attacked, but if she says anything about Obama that isn’t glowing praise, she’s just wrong. I say, turn about’s fair play. If he’s going to make statements about her ideas that are provably wrong, she has the right to correct that and point out where he’s wrong about things. That’s not attacking him, it’s not mud-slinging, it’s simply debating the issues, her point against his. It’s part of a good debate, after all, and it’s up to us to research it to find out which is correct. At least that’s the way it’s supposed to work. That’s the way I decide who I want to vote for.

I have no idea what will happen in Nevada, South Carolina, or Florida, the next primaries to be fought over, and the thing is, neither does anyone else. Whatever happens, tho, we all need to remember that it’s only just started, there are many more states to go in deciding who our nominee will be, and trying to annoint one person or the other at this point is simply premature. Let’s wait and see who does what before we try to say who’s the winner. We won’t look so stupid that way, at least.

Correct Me If I’m Wrong, But……

…aren’t surveys supposed to be questions that ask for your opinions on different subjects or products? That’s what I’ve always understood, but lately it seems surveys are simply schemes to get you to buy stuff. When did it change?

I have been inundated with offers to earn money and prizes for filling out “simple surveys”, and figuring I have as many opinions as anyone else, I decided to sign up for some. I mean, who can’t use a little extra cash these days, right? The problem is, most every one I sign up for ends up taking me to pages and pages of offers for stuff I have no need for, stuff I don’t really care to have, and stuff I couldn’t afford even if I did need or want it. And if you don’t check at least one - sometimes two from column A, two from column B, and two from column C - you don’t get whatever it is they told you that you’d won, or would receive for filling out the survey. How is that not fraud?

I’ve also received e-mails telling me I’ve won a laptop, a free vacation, and even a pair of name brand diamond studded watches, only to find out I have to complete Silver, Gold, and Platinum offers first, or else I’m out of luck. Now, I know that’s fraudulent, that if someone tells you you’ve won something they can’t then turn around and make you perform tricks for them in order to get whatever it is, or else pay “a small service fee”. How do they get away with it?

I have found a couple of survey places that actually do send surveys with questions to answer about certain products and services, etc, but I only get entries into Sweepstakes for those. Well, maybe if I ever got to actually do one I might get paid, but it seems I’m always in the wrong demographic, or the survey’s already had enough respondents, or something of that nature. Needless to say, I never seem to win any of those sweepstakes, no matter how many entries I’ve won and entered, so I have to wonder if those are on the up-and-up, too.

I remember when the old bait-and-switch was illegal, and businesses who participated in them would get in trouble when caught. What’s happened to that idea? Does the internet negate all sense of fairplay and equity? Are they really allowed to scam people right and left with impunity? And what about all these foreigners that send e-mails saying you’ve won millions in lotteries, or you’ve been chosen to receive millions from someone’s estate who has no beneficiary? Why can’t these people be stopped, especially when you contact people who should be able to do something about it? It’s just not right, I tell you.

Yes, I am older, and maybe I’m relying on old-fashioned ideas of right and wrong, but I happen to believe that’s the way things ought to be. No one should have the right to cheat people, lie to them to get their money, and promise one thing but give another - or nothing at all. It is pure-o-D fraud, and needs to be treated as such. These things are so prevalent that it shouldn’t be hard to find and stop them, yet they go on and on, and I have to wonder just how many people really believe it all and lose money because of it. The one that really bugs me at the moment is supposedly from a US soldier who’s battalion found a ton of money in one of Saddam’s old hideouts and decided to keep a few mil. The problem is, he needs someone to receive this money, and then send him his part while keeping the rest. That is so wrong on so many levels I can’t even begin to describe them all, and yet I’ve gotten three of those things from three different people, supposedly. And no one can stop it. Why?

I love the internet. I know that those of you who have never known a world without it probably think nothing of it, just as I never gave a thought to how strange it must have been to my grandparents to drive around in cars or fly across the country in airplanes, meaning they could get hundreds of miles in a few hours instead of a week or more by horse and carriage. It was normal to me, and just another part of life. The internet, however, is a new and wonderful thing, making research into any subject just a matter of punching a few buttons in the comfort of your home or office instead of running all over the place, digging through stacks of books or papers, and traveling all over the world to find what you need - if you could find it.

However, when faced with the increasing fraud and, yes, outright evil that is being perpetrated by so many users of this wonderful medium, one has to wonder just how great it really is. It just seems to have made it easier to do that kind of thing, with a larger audience and a more profitable cash cow for thieves and hucksters. Honestly, someone ought to do something, don’t you think?

Goodbye, 2007….And Good Riddance!

Man, I have to say this has been one of the worst years of my entire life, and that’s saying a lot. Both for me personally and the world in general, this year is one that I will happily say “Good-bye” to, and never regret it’s departure.

The year was topped off today by one of the weirdest occurances I’ve heard of, at least where it concerns people I know and love. See, my daughter’s car was totalled today, and it never left her house. It seems an older guy - someone I went to school with, actually - dropped something as he was driving on the opposite side of the street my daughter lives on, and he bent down to pick it up. Simple, right? Well, not so much. He managed to cross into the oncoming lane, kept on going until he hit the parked minivan at my daughter’s curbside, and pushed the car over 20 feet backward, leaving the front rammed into what is left of the engine and several types of fluids from both cars running down the gutter to the storm drain on the corner.

I have no idea how fast he was traveling when he hit the car, but it seems like it had to be more than the 35 mph that’s posted, except when school is in session, when it lowers to 25. Luckily the guy’s airbags deployed and all he got from his adventure was a scrape on his forehead and a slightly bleeding nose, but there was no help for the front end of his car, as it was as mangled as my daughter’s was. The poor guy was so rattled he couldn’t even talk for a while, just mumbled something about getting his stuff before the car exploded. My daughter, an EMT in a past life, tried to get him to stay back and let her ascertain whether he was totally in control of his faculties or not, but he just kept repeating he was fine and he had to get his stuff out of the car.

She was kind of in shock herself, not quite believing she’s just lost her only means of transportation. Once the realization hit her that, had the kids not been dawdling along while getting ready to go shopping, they might very well have been in the car when he hit it, and that gave her a start. Of course, she quickly regained herself and thanked God for her poky kids - probably the first and only time she’d felt that way. Watching the police and several firemen working at keeping any danger posed by the leaking fluids and smoking engine at bay, she just kept repeating over and over “Thank God we were so slow”, mixed with repeated questions of the other guy as to how he was feeling, etc. I have to say, she was more calm than I would have been in her place.

Once everything was cleared up and everyone who didn’t belong there was gone, she began trying to figure out how she’d get a rental car, who would pay, and how. Phone calls to her insurance, his insurance, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, and the police took on a merry-go-round quality, and interspersed with calls from her honey wondering what was going on now and advising her on what she had to do and say, as if she couldn’t figure it out on her own. This was all exacerbated by the fact it’s a holiday and everyone was gone/leaving/just plain not interested in the problem, and trying to get information and advice as to how to go about it all was like pulling teeth from a hen’s mouth. Finally, after all the hoopla was over, I dropped her and the kids off at the car rental lot, waving good-bye as they climbed into their “new” car, ending the saga.

Now, as “disasters” go, this was probably not much worse than a broken leg right before a sking vacation, but for those of us involved, it was absolutely the most appropriate way to say good-bye to this dirty, rotten, stinking year that had started out with so much promise just 12 months ago. It’s like Forrest Gump said so often: “You never know what you’re gonna get”.

As we start this New Year, my hope is that this one will be much better for everyone than the one we’re ushering out at midnight tonight. No more war, no more innocents dying at the hands of those who think they have the right to kill as many other people as possible to get their point across, no more lost homes, no more Acts of God wiping out whole cities, states, and countrysides. No new diseases, no resurgence of old ones, and no lives lost to careless manufacturers or outright sabotage. No more hunger, no more pain, no more wondering how to live from one day to the next…..am I asking too much? Yeah, I guess I am, but….wouldn’t it be wonderful? Happy New Year, Everyone. God Bless and Protect Us All.

Guess Who?

Yep, it’s me. Sorry for being away so long, but life happens, you know? Anyway, I’m back, and hopefully I’ll have something to say that you’ll find interesting…..or not.

I find there’s not much to say about Bush and Co these days. It’s not a lot of fun heaving bricks at a pathetic fool that’s managed to shoot his own feet off every time he opened his mouth. Kinda makes you feel like you’re picking on the handicapped, don’t it? Ok, I know, he deserves it, but it’s just not the same. Considering we don’t have that much longer to do it, tho, I figure maybe I’d better get my licks in while I still can. Heck, what’s the harm in kicking a genuine A-hole when he’s down?

So, does anyone else find it hard to believe that the Teflon coating this guy’s had around him for so long is beginning to peel off? Is it just because Karl Rove left, you think? Does he honestly have no one else who can spin his lies until they smell like roses instead of horse manure? I don’t know what his problem is, but the Emperor sure seems to have lost all semblance of having clothes on lately.

I guess it’s true that if you just persevere in chopping at a hunk of granite, you’ll finally manage to chip it away until it’s little more than a pebble after all. I just wish it hadn’t taken so doggone long! Can you imagine how much better off we’d be now had we just been able to knock the Kool-Aid out of the hands of all those sheeple before they drank it and voted him in for four more years? It kind of leaves a bitter taste in your mouth to think about it, but let’s just hope that next time people will really stop and think before they fall for a load of bullsh*t wrapped up in ribbons and bows again. I don’t know…….

One thing I do know is that any of the Democrat candidates running now would be so much better than what we’ve had for the last eight years that it’s not funny. I know that some of the Republicans are trying to distance themselves from him now, but it leaves me wondering where the heck they were all this time? They were all kissing up to King Georgie, backing him to the hilt in everything he did, so their protestations mean nothing now. My one piece of advice now is to go out and vote Democrat in both the primaries and the general election. I don’t much care which one gets the nod, I’m going to be working my backside off to get them in office, and I hope each and everyone of you does the same.

Did Anyone Miss Me?

Yes, it’s me. It’s really been a long time since I’ve posted anything on here, and I am so ashamed of myself! Ok, not really, but it sounded good, right? Honestly, I just haven’t felt like I had much to say for a while. Yes, I’ve been busy, too, but the real reason is that it all started sounding like the same old ranting, over and over. I mean, how many times can you write about how stupid George W. is, or how much he and his buddies lie? It gets to a point where you just can’t face pointing out another faux pas by these jerks.

I still don’t have a lot to say, I guess, but I have missed coming here and spilling my guts of all the things that bug the heck out of me. It really is cathartic, but then, you all know that already, don’t you? Otherwise, why would you be writing down your deepest thoughts and feelings online, too? There’s just something about letting the world know what you’re thinking and why, and I really have missed that.

Having said that, however, I still don’t have anything to talk about. It’s all just the same, day after day. I’m hoping that will change in November and there will be good news to share with everyone, but we’ll have to wait until then to see if that happens.

I just wanted to check in and say “Hi”, let you know I haven’t forgotten about you, and I’m still here, shaking my head in dismay or pounding my fist on the arm of my chair in utter disgust at what’s happening in the world. I just haven’t been able to come up with new and exciting ways to express that to you, and I really hate getting stale.

I guess that’s all I have to say for now. Bush is still a dope, Rumsfeld needs to get lost, and Cheney…..well, I’m not sure what to say about him, since he has a shotgun and claims to know how to use it. I think there’s an old friend of his who might differ with him on that, but I’m not taking any chances. Rove needs his tongue cut out, Schwartzenegger needs to stay in Sacramento and stop coming to Fresno every two weeks. He might actually be able to get something done if he does. Oh yeah, and Fox needs to stop trying to pretend they’re fair and impartial. That’s about it for now, I guess , but I will be back before long. Something is bound to change sooner or later, don’t you think?

So, It’s Come To This…..

Two American soldiers captured, tortured, beheaded, mutilated beyond recognition - to the point they will have to be identified by DNA - and left among the rubble after being heavily booby-trapped, and the Republicans are using it to attack the Democrats. I don’t know which side is worse, the openly monstrous insurgents who feel they have good reason to hate all Americans, or the party of the lying president who got us into this war in the first place, who feel they have the right to use the deaths of these young patriots to further their own political ambitions.

Wait, there’s another class that needs to be added in here: the brainless, gullible sheep who will swallow the poison pill they are fed by this party and regurgitate it ad infinitum because they haven’t got the sense to stop and realize what has really happened here. I have no doubt there will be scores of these. Oh, not as many as there once would have been, hopefully, but enough to make the rest of us wonder what the heck is happening to this country.

After spending several years trying to get these people to see reason, I am happy to see that a good many of them finally have, and are on to the fact that they were lied to, big time. Now, however, it seems we will have another battle to fight for the hearts and souls of the American people, and I only hope it won’t take as long and be as hard to do.

The death and mutilation of these two young men is not something that should be used as political fodder, yet it’s already beginning. Mr. Mehlman, chairman of the Republican party, used it today to make digs at Mr. Murtha, John Kerry, John Dean, and other Democrats that have been trying to come up with a plan to get our troops back to our own soil before we lose too many more of them. He was on Hardball, and waved their dead bodies over his head in response to a question about his thoughts on the plans put forth by the Democrats, most particularly Mr. Kerry. It was sickening to hear.

Leave these men alone. They’ve gone through enough, as have their grieving families. They don’t deserve to be used as a political ploy to try to gain support for a lying, scheming, unworthy piece of scum like George W. Bush, and these guys should be ashamed of themselves for doing just that.

Do I sound bitter? You bet. I’m tired of being lied to, I’m tired of listening to brainless bleaters repeating verbatim the crapola spead by that same scum and his cronies, and I’m tired of thinking they can’t go any lower, then watching in horror as they do so. Sick and tired, that’s me, and ready to work my backside off to get the Democrats back in control of the Congress this year, then the White House two years from now. I hope you all will join me.
